WILLIAMSPORT AND COLLEGEVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA – Being without some or all of your teeth can deliver a powerful blow to your confidence and self-esteem.
But there is a solution that you may have overlooked- Philadelphia periodontics expert Dr. David DiGiallorenzo offers “teeth in a day.” Just as the phrase suggests, this is a procedure in which we place dental implants and affix crowns to them, all in one visit.
Preserving Your Natural Teeth
Before we discuss “teeth in a day,” though, let’s talk about the measures we take to help people keep their natural teeth for a lifetime.
Our first approach is to help patients keep their teeth and gums healthy. If you suffer with bleeding gums, loose teeth, bad breath, receding gums, missing teeth and/or shifting teeth, you have the definite signs of gum disease.
Gum disease isn’t always painful, but if it is left untreated, you will almost certainly experience tooth loss as time and the disease progresses, DiGiallorenzo says. However, if caught in time, a procedure known as LANAP- laser-assisted new attachment procedure- can be completed in one visit with no cutting, suturing or pain.
LANAP uses a laser that performs ultrasonic root debridement to clean root surfaces by removing plaque from them, followed by a different laser setting to clot the blood so the periodontist gets a good seal. This eliminates the need to use sutures.
When the disease has become too advanced, often the only option is removal of the teeth and conversion to dental implants utilizing the “teeth in a day” technique, DiGiallorenzo says.
Many people are viable candidates for these immediate load implants, including denture wearers and those who were born with congenitally missing teeth, says DiGiallorenzo, a Philadelphia periodontist.
Delivering Patients From Dentures
“Denture wearers no longer have to suffer with the odor of denture adhesive, the embarrassment of taking their teeth out, the inability to chew effectively, taste their foods and express intimate behavior,” DiGiallorenzo says.
“Teeth in a day” have the look, function and feel of natural teeth. In addition to restoring your confidence and giving you something to smile about, they restore your ability to eat all of the foods you may have been avoiding because of your dentures.
Congenitally Missing Teeth
People with congenitally missing teeth, such as those whose lateral incisors never developed, also have found a solution via the “teeth in a day” method. For the past 15 years, DiGiallorenzo has provided immediate smiles for people with missing teeth.
The “teeth in a day” procedure is painless, requires just one visit, is affordable and offers predictable results. Our approach is cutting-edge and uses state-of-the-art imaging, bone grafting techniques and beautiful teeth for same-day transformations.
DiGiallorenzo has earned a nationally-respected reputation among doctors and patients with these procedures. He also teaches on the topic and treats patients from all over the world.
“I consider my dental center to involve more than dentistry,” says the Philadelphia dental implants specialist. “The center imbibes the whole process for health and wellness by providing nutrition, reflexology and even acupuncture.”
Our “teeth in a day” fees start at $25,000 per arch and vary from case to case. Our office offers convenient, interest-free financing for up to 60 months.
