What You Need to Know About Pesticides, Your Health, & Nutritional Therapy

Decay Prevention

As nutritional science continues to advance, more and more attention is being focused on the importance of consuming natural, healthful foods. However, many of the pesticide companies that treat our produce persist in their endeavors to silence the truth about the harmful effects of chemicals in our food supply. At LANAP & Implant Center of Pennsylvania in Collegeville, PA and Williamsport, PA, Dr. David DiGiallorenzo and his team help patients make sense of the way pesticide companies attempt to mask the facts about processed and genetically engineered foods.

Controversial Studies: Scientists Fight Back

Often, when new scientific evidence regarding the harmful consequences of pesticide use arises, the companies responsible for engineering and utilizing the dangerous chemicals decide to fight back. They pour millions of dollars into ads and campaigns that hide the true nature of their products, convincing the public that there is no harm in consuming certain compounds. Science, however, doesn’t always back down so easily. More and more researchers and medical scientists have begun to stand up for what they know is right: an informed public with the knowledge and tools necessary to make their own decisions regarding nutrition.

In a relatively recent study, for example, chemicals found in a popular weed killer were tested under close scrutiny in a way that had never been approached before. Rats that were exposed to this compound over the course of their lifetimes (via the genetically engineered corn that many Americans consume today) were found to develop serious tumors in the mammary glands, as well as problems with their liver and kidney function. Naturally, the pesticide company in question refuted any proof offered, even lobbying to have the evidence removed from official reports.

While the implications of this research have yet to be applied specifically to humans, scientists believe that the threat is real. Fortunately, there are still food products that are entirely natural and wholesome; it just isn’t always as easy to find them at your local store. Dr. DiGiallorenzo can help you develop a healthier diet through nutrition therapy, as well as offer additional resources to help you and your family.
