WILLIAMSPORT AND COLLEGEVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA – We often notice seriously diminished self-confidence in new patients who are missing some or all of their teeth when visiting our Pennsylvania periodontists for the first time.
That doesn’t have to be the case, however. Our Williamsport and Collegeville, PA periodontics practice has a solution that you may have overlooked or not even known about, says PA dental implants expert Dr. David DiGiallorenzo.
Dr. D- as our patients like to call him- offers “Teeth in a day,” and just as the phrase suggests, this is a procedure in which we place dental implants and affix crowns to them, all in one visit.
Keeping Your Natural Teeth As Long As Possible
Before we discuss our “teeth in a day” service, it’s important that we cover the measures we take to help ensure that people keep their natural teeth for as long as possible.
Our primary approach to achieving this is by assisting patients in keeping their teeth and gums healthy. If you suffer from bad breath, bleeding gums, loose teeth, shifting teeth, missing teeth and/or receding gums you possess symptoms and signs of gum disease, says Dr. D, a PA periodontist.
“Gum disease doesn’t necessarily have to be painful, but if it goes untreated, you will almost certainly experience tooth loss as time and the disease progresses,” Dr. D says. However, if caught in time, a procedure known as LANAP- laser-assisted new attachment procedure- can be completed in one visit with no cutting, suturing or pain.
LANAP uses a laser that performs ultrasonic root debridement to clean the surfaces of the roots by removing plaque from them. This is followed by a different laser setting to clot the blood so the periodontist gets a good seal. The latter portion of the procedure eliminates the need to use sutures.
When the disease has reached advanced stages, often the only option is to remove the teeth and convert to dental implants utilizing the “teeth in a day” technique, says Dr. D.
Many people are candidates for these immediate load implants, including denture wearers and those who were born with congenitally missing teeth, he says.
Delivering Us From Dentures
“Denture wearers don’t have to suffer with the odor of denture adhesive, the embarrassment of taking their teeth out, the inability to chew their food properly, to taste their foods, or to express intimate behavior,” says Dr. D.
“Teeth in a day” have the look, function and feel of your natural teeth. In addition to restoring your confidence and giving you a reason to smile, they restore your ability to eat all of the foods you may have been avoiding because of your dentures.
Congenitally Missing Teeth
If you suffer from congenitally missing teeth, such as lateral incisors that never developed, you also stand to benefit from the “teeth in a day” method. For the past 15 years, Dr. DiGiallorenzo has provided immediate smiles for people with missing teeth.
The “teeth in a day” procedure is painless, requires a single visit, is affordable and offers predictable results. Our approach is cutting-edge and uses state-of-the-art imaging, bone grafting techniques and beautiful teeth for same-day transformations.
Dr. D has earned a nationally-respected reputation among doctors and patients with these procedures. He also teaches on the topic and treats patients from around the world.
“I consider my dental center to involve more than dentistry,” says the Philadelphia dental implants specialist. “The center imbibes the whole process for health and wellness by providing nutrition, reflexology and even acupuncture.”
Our “teeth in a day” fees start at $25,000 per arch and vary from case to case. Our office offers convenient, interest-free financing for up to 60 months.
