Feel Peaceful About Dental Care With Sedation [BLOG]

When you think about going to the dentist, you probably don’t feel calm and peaceful. In fact, dental anxiety is so common among adults, it’s pretty likely that thinking about the dentist office has the exact opposite effect on you.

For most people, the thought of a dental appointment isn’t necessarily pleasant, but it’s not enough to keep them from maintaining routine professional care.

For others, however, it’s enough to keep them out of the dental chair for years, which results in all sorts of periodontal health issues.

Today, our team at the LANAP & Implant Center would like to change that. We offer comfort options and sedation dentistry so that you can enter 2018 feeling peaceful about your dental care.

Sedation Dentistry Can Change Your Life

Your Health

If you cancel dental appointments because you’re too afraid to go, it’s going to have negative consequences for your oral health. Without professional cleanings and exams, you could suffer from gum disease and the lasting effects of that insidious health problem, such as tooth and bone loss.

The disastrous effects of gum disease don’t stop at an unhealthy mouth. It can get into your bloodstream and create a domino effect of systemic health problems like diabetes, stroke, and heart disease.

But you can avoid all of that with help from our team. Sedation dentistry allows you get the treatment you need to keep your teeth and gums healthy and strong. You’re able to maintain your appointments and feel confident and comfortable while you’re here.

Your Happiness

An unhealthy mouth will eventually result in an unattractive smile. This will impact your self-esteem, your confidence, and your ability to go after the things you want in life. Whether you want to advance professionally, be more social, or pursue a romantic relationship, having an unhealthy, unsightly smile because of poor periodontal health will stand in the way of all of those goals.

Sedation can give you the courage to get your oral health back on track and pursue cosmetic treatments for a beautiful smile.

Sedation Dentistry Adds To Your Comfort

Dr. DeMarco has years of training and experience in helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable with sedation dentistry. He can use the right method that will help you overcome your fears and anxieties about professional dental care.

Depending on your level of nervousness and the kind of treatment you require, Dr. DeMarco can offer the sedation method that will ease your fears such as oral medication or IV sedation. Both are incredibly effective in relaxing you during treatment so that you have the courage to keep coming back for routine maintenance.

With both forms of sedation, you will need to have someone bring to your appointment and drive you home when it’s over. That’s because it will take a little time to wear off before you’re able to safely drive yourself.

But we don’t stop there at the LANAP & Implant Center. We’re proud to go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable by offering amenities and services like:

-Private Rooms

-Massage Therapy

-Longer Appointments

-Relaxing Music

-Other Holistic Comfort Options Upon Request

Whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and confident so you can have a healthy mouth, our team is here to help you.
